matcherz.com revisited!

although i made a complete arse out of myself while pitching @ the dutch dragon's den there are quite a few people actually diggin' the idea.

so here i find myself with a desk full with businesscards of potential partners. there is even one guy which says he's programmed what i pitched and is not planning to do something with it :). let's see if we can work something out!

the art of pitching. my dragon's den experience

today i received quite a few ractions on my appearance @ de dutch dragon's den tv show and the posts on this @ both goodblog.nl and here @ edgarneo.info.... most of them where comforting. just for the record: the pitch people can see is not the actual pitch. this is the editors version whit a lot of exta's which wasn't part of the pitch at all!

but it proves my point that there is such a thing as 'the art of pitchin'. when everything is right. you even can have a very thin businessproposal and still get someone interested to invest in it....

see for an example the ladies of wuzz (enabling teens to sell their self created ringtones and wallpapers via their onw webshop @ wuzz). with a good presentation and not that great idea (i think that no youngster actually wants to pay for a dodgy ringtone. they chip in a few quit order and shar the ringtone via bluetooth and sms ;) ) they even had to fight the dragon's of.

if you really want to learn about how to pitch have a look at some websites or follow a training ( i know for a fact that sylvie van tilburg of the incompany trainer and harro willemsen of present presents provide such a training)

matcherz.com @ dragon's den pitch aired --> sh*t!

my matcherz.com pitch was aired yesterday @ the dutch dragon's den. although i was one of the first to pitch i was aired as 1 of the last. and they made me look like an arse :(

i learned a lot from it and hope that there are more opportunities like this to pitch and practice.

etienne petit from polderspace offered the networkers @ the rotterdam community meeting the opportunity to record their 1 minute pitch a one minute claim to fame.
of course i gave it a go too.

dutch dragon's den needs some tweaking!

after a stressfull night with lots of coffee, cigars, printing businesscards, adjusting and rehearsing my pitch, today, i had the 'pleasure' to pitch my idea for matcherz.com (in short a combination of the plaxo and speedmeet service) @ the dutch dragon's den.

(i signed a contract so i can't go in on it in detail.)
but trust me on this: the dutch version of the dragon's den need a whole lotta tweaking.
the dutch dragon's clearly have to find their way in being a dragon.

we'll see if henk keilman, jan pieter melchior, arjen de koning, willem sijthoff and annemarie van gaal are able to live up to their role.

jort kelder wordt presentator van de nederlandse dragon's den

vandaag is bekendgemaakt dat jort kelder de nederlandse versie van dragon's den gaat presenteren. ben nu alleen benieuwd wie de dragon's zijn ;)

ik ben al druk aan het slijpen aan mijn pitch voor matcherz.com.
om de concurrentie nog niet al teveel wijzer te maken staat er nu alleen nog een bumpertje van mijn grote vrienden @ van der meer internet.... sorry ;) !

dragon's den; i am in!

ik was gisterenavond uitgenodigd om @ blue circle, de producent van de nederlandse dragon's den, een proefpitch te doen.

vol goede moed en enigszins onvoorbereid mijn verhaal gedaan. en vanochtend vroeg kreeg ik te horen dat ik door ben. en 2 maart as verwacht wordt in de lichtfabriek te haarlem om dan voor het echie te gaan.

over het hoe en het wat kan ik natuurlijk (nog) niet uitweiden. maar het heeft te maken met een service dat netwerken een stuk eenvoudiger maakt....
